Butternut Squash and Saint Nectaire Gratin
You're starting to get to know me: with three young children, a husband who travels a lot, and a full-time job, I'm a fan of good and (very) quick recipes!
Well, in the category of ugly but delicious, here's a recipe I improvised one evening when I needed to cook a butternut squash before leaving Paris, and a piece of Saint Nectaire cheese was sulking in the fridge.

We finished the dish between the two of us because it was so good and I didn't want any leftovers, but I think there was easily enough for three :)
The recipe couldn't be simpler:
> Peel the butternut squash and cut it into fairly thin slices (less than 1 cm, I'd say).
> In a gratin dish, arrange a layer of butternut, a light drizzle of cream, a little garlic, some diced Saint Nectaire (adjust to taste), and repeat as many times as there is butternut. To finish, I also put grated Parmesan cheese on top, I had to use it up too!
> A little salt, a turn of pepper, and pop it in the oven, I'd say about 30 minutes at 180°.
With a good knife, it took me less than 10 minutes to prepare, and it was super delicious!
